I was part of the Carthaginian army when it fell and, even though I was a hero at home for being the only female warrior in the army, I was nothing but a source of entertainment here. My unit was on it’s way down the Italian peninsula from the Alps when a Roman unit found us. Their units, being 5,000 in size, were almost impossible to defeat, seeing that we were outnumbered ten to one. Most of my unit gave up and surrendered at the sight of the Romans. They were scary to everyone, no matter how strong you were. I kept fighting, I was one of about fifty who actually tried. That didn’t end well for any of us. Everybody that surrendered was put into slavery, and everybody who rebelled was slaughtered… except for me. I used the string to tie the battery tenaciously in between two copper swords, and then held it up for the crowd to see. The crowd roared, but the Emperor's expression was not altered in the slightest. After about three seconds of holding it up, I started to feel a pulling urge from the sword. I looked up to see the sun’s rays focusing in at the tip of the two swords. It was like a heliocentric yellow stream of energy flooding into me. I felt power surge through my veins and the sword began to acquire a yellow glow. I was scared, but I didn’t show it; I acted like I knew exactly what was going on and kept my cool. I peered over into the corner where the last contestant was hiding. He was only a small boy, shivering in the presence of me. I started towards him. The closer I got, the tighter he became. I could sense the fear in him, I couldn’t kill him, he was just a boy no more than ten.
“Please don’t kill me!” The boy said with a ghastly white face. I could hear the muffled crowd around me chanting, forcing me to kill him.
“I’m sorry,” I said, “I don’t have a choice.” I closed my eyes and let the two swords sink slowly into him. When I opened my eyes again I could see a small yellow light coming out of his wound. Suddenly, it erupted and exploded with a massive shockwave that sent me flying back into the opposite wall. I regained my focus just in time to see the boy’s body being lifted up into the air by the mysterious light. I couldn’t
