Personal Narrative: The Renaissance Festival
At 8 years old, I remember walking around with the large fascinated crowds of tourists as my young eyes chased the colorful ribbons, and my ears followed the sounds of the tambourines and rude bagpipes. As I followed the sound, I found 3 beautiful women with thick long hair. The gypsies wore so many beautiful colors in just one outfit.

Before I knew it, he had completely torched the whips and started doing the craziest stunts with them. I was blown away between the popping of balloons and snipping of flowers with these whips. With every stunt he gave the history behind the whips. He went into detail about the year that the whips were invented, to the renowned men known in history to use them in wars.
Every year when I had my bags full of little things I had bought through out the day, I still found myself sad to leave the festival grounds. As you would walk out at

To complete the property tour, we looked at the bedroom, comfortably proportioned for a queen sized bed and a floor-to-ceiling closet with a large window facing Paolina Park. The attractive bathroom was functional and came equipped with all the essentials. Lastly, we looked at the garage. Maria Laura informed us that Italians refer to a garage as a “car box”. The car box was large enough to accommodate a mid-sized car, a workbench, and storage for tools and seasonal items. I was overjoyed…

As soon as the new year came into existence, I created a list of goals to complete in 2016, all of which I plan to complete with gusto (I love that word, it sounds so silly). One of those goals (#5 on my list actually) is to finally get my hands on a first edition of The Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux and stare at it in wonder as if it were a fairy princess riding a unicorn into the sunset. I don't even have to purchase it, just hold it and touch it like it is a priceless treasure (which it is).…

Today was the day. The big day. My election for Lieutenant Governor of Division 2B for Key Club, an international service club, was today. Fear and anxiety pricked my skin in rapid movements emanating from every pore. I rehearsed my speech for the fifth time that day. Upon arrival at the Fairfax Library, I urged myself to remain calm. I quickly scouted out the other girls who were present; one girl was dressed professionally with a folder in her hand. I knew that was my competition. The girl spoke eloquently and genially, she radiated enthusiasm and a certain warmth that I did not have. With every question that was asked, she answered with a smooth smile and high-pitched tone that was dripping with sincerity. I bristled inside; I had just been slapped. I was shrouded in a cloud of anxiety and anxiousness. Suddenly, I was dragged from my reverie.…

It is a normal day in Victorian England, I and my family wake up, and do what we usually do, go to work. Once I got to work, my boss assigned me to a new chimney. It was a normal day of cleaning, until I spot a girl out of the corner of my eye. I get lowered down to the bottom, and I introduce myself. After we both introduce ourselves, I find out her name is Kate, Kate Dickens, the third child of Charles Dickens. I was shocked, I was standing in front of Charles Dickens daughter. I tell her I have to go, I would’ve stayed longer, but I had to get back to work.…
