Providing the love and care for the animals need can be expensive for them. Therefore, volunteering and taking care of the animal can be rewarding fro them and the animals. I walked, and fed the animals, cleaned their room, played with the puppies and did whatever other jobs that was needed to be done. I learned more about the care of the animal, and seeing how the shelter could make a difference for the animals there. My favorite part of the volunteering is walking the dogs because I really got attached to one of the dog. It was a golden retriever mixed and his name was Patrick. He was a very loud at first but after I got to know him he was a likeable dog. By giving the dogs an opportunity to run through an expanse of grass, it really instills that trust and love. Overall, this volunteering experience has taught me a lot about taking care of animals. Working with the shy dogs taught me to be patient and gentle. Even though the progression is slow, the dog will eventually gain trust and
