At this point the beast was so close I could smell every malodorous scent emitted by its decaying flesh.
I couldn’t stand waiting for any longer, I made a dash for the other corner, and bolted for the door. It wasn’t like a could kill it. Once out, I scrambled out the steps and fumbled out the main door. It was then apparent to me that this was no ordinary Halloween night. I stood soul-harrowed, hundreds of floundering bodies crowded my once happy neighborhood.
Suddenly a thought struck my mental, where is my family? I couldn’t run inside. Paralyzed with fear I stood there, wishing so desperately it would all go away. Almost instantly, my eyes flopped open. I laid frozen in my bed, scanning my surroundings to ensure nothing was gobbling on my flesh. Once I felt it was clear, I jolted out into the kitchen, to be greeted by my mother making pancakes. It was so strange I didn’t believe it. I ran outside, still in my pajamas from the previous night. Nothing. It was all in my head.
Sometimes there are situations in life, and sometimes you just have to calm down, meditate, and trust that everything will be
