Becker, witnessed me diffuse and argument between two classmates with simple conversation and reasoning. She then grew fond of the idea and talked to the Principal about incorporating a system into my elementary school called Resolving Conflicts Creatively Program (RCCP), which I was inducted as the president and student mediator. I was so excited to be awarded the title through my school district that I asked my teacher how I could be this person in real life. She listed some options which were a social worker, police officer, mediator, or attorney that was the day I made my decision. I recall discussing my future with my parents and expressing how determined I was to become an attorney and how important it was to me to be able to help people solve their problems. Obviously, at that age I did not fully comprehend the work it was going to take to become an attorney or what the job title exactly entailed, but my mind was made and it was all I wanted to be when I grew …show more content…
After school it was very difficult to find work using my degree so I devised a plan to start a legal document company doing contract work with some of the attorney connections I made just so I could keep involved with the legal field. Currently, I am completing my real estate license and trying to get into law school. All the skills I have acquired from the legal jobs and experiences have taught me attention to detail, patience, strategic and analytical thinking, and professional and interpersonal communication skills. I am proud I held on to my dreams and I am fighting to obtain my goals. I did some self-reflecting and soul searching, I realized all the positive things I have going for me now, I am more knowledgeable, experienced, and mature for this journey and am ready now more than I ever have
