It’s amazing that I am even writing this letter right now. I never knew that over these years and challenges I would be asking NASA to put their stamp on my future. I have always dreamed of working for NASA since I was little boy watching Armageddon. Years ago I met a captain in the United States Marine Corps who convinced me to go for my dreams of flight. She told me stories and I was deeply inspired knowing that she was that pilot that she spoke of. She made mention of the weapons, the planes, and a few of the technologies that she had come in contact with. From where I was standing at that moment I could not see any way that I could ever have a chance to do the things that she spoke of. Even though I was a little discouraged I had a fire inside of me. As a Marine myself I always had the feeling that there was nothing in existence that I could not do. As time went by and situations changed, so did my plans but not my desires. For NASA I will never be able to be a pilot. Knowing this I found another path to flight, Aerospace Engineering. Like all of your other applicants I have charted the courses that would qualify an individual for this opportunity. Having seen this coming I added another major to my education. I added Electro-mechanical engineering to my field of interest and I believe that sets me apart from the competition. Through the years I have not only studied through the university, but I have put in time for personal research. I looked up NASA and the works that they have done. The ideas and the concerns of NASA are now my own and I would not change that if I could. I realize that this is a major decision for you to make and I acknowledge that you are looking for previous experience. The coincidence is that I am also looking for experience, and who better than NASA? I have searched for a better suitor in order for me to gain the golden experience that I seek and I could not find one better than
