Club, Lebanon Times Newspaper, Student Council, Art Club, and the theatre club, Wet Paint Players. As well as doing clubs, I have been on varsity for nordic skiing and alpine skiing. I am a very social, outgoing person, so clubs and extracurricular activities allow me to try things that I’m interested in while creating meaningful relationships with my peers and teachers. These relationships I formed have given me a multitude of opportunities in leadership and service. I was recently elected by my peers to student council and immediately formed and lead a committee that focuses on health education at Lebanon High School. I also have been a student leader that assists with Freshman Orientation and Parent Orientation nights. Another example of an opportunity provided to me through a relationship I formed was when I was able to audition for the local theatre troupe Trumbull Hall. A week before auditions, the choreographer explained to the producers that they would be “missing out if they did not reach out to me”, so I received an email and then became a part of the troupe. These opportunities would not have been provided to me if I hadn’t shown strong work, ethic, and dedication to completing tasks successfully and thoroughly. I am very fortunate that I have something that motivates me to be the best I can be, and this drive for greatness is a key part of who I am. Theatre has taught me that hard work and dedication are essential in every part of your life, and I am proud to incorporate this idea into my life. The National Honor Society is a group of students who have all individually shown outstanding achievement, and I hope to stand among them. Thank you so much for your consideration to be in this prestigious association.
