Personal Swot
Introduction
This is my personal SWOT analysis. SWOT stands for strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. Strengths and weaknesses are both internal to the person or company. Opportunities and threats are both external to the person or company.
Strengths
I feel blessed to have some of these qualities in my “corner” so to speak. I don’t think I could have accomplished as much as I have if it weren’t for some of these strengths. * Strong math skills * Team player * Strong drive to improve weaknesses * Patient * Highly competitive
Weaknesses
I have worked hard to get where I currently am in life, but I feel some of my qualities have held me back. Since one of my strengths is a strong drive to improve my weaknesses, I feel with time I can turn my weaknesses into strengths as well. * Weak communication skills * Harsh self-judgment * Procrastination
Steps to Turn Weaknesses Into Strengths
I have been focusing on my communication skills for the last couple year. Since, I have noticed much progress, but I am currently not where I want them to be. My steps to improve this quality are to meet as many people as possible, go to events sponsored by career services that help improve communication and make me a better candidate for employment, and have leadership positions in the clubs and organizations that I am involved. Another weakness I intend to improve is my harsh self-judgment. I think as I progress in my career and life, this quality will eventually dissipate, so I think knowing it is a weakness is the first step to improve it. The final weakness I have to improve is procrastination. The first step is to acknowledge it, which I have already acknowledged it’s existence. Currently, I am forcing myself to do the hard thing, which never involves TV, video games, or Facebook. This semester I am making myself read the chapters and do homework every night, which I have never been able to successfully do before. I hope after

“Success is achieved by development of our strengths, not by elimination of our weakness.” We all have our strengths and weaknesses, most of us have a problem acknowledging our weaknesses versus strengths. With our weaknesses, we tend to ignore them off for a length of time, or put them on the back burner. It is possible to make a difference in one’s weaknesses, it is not an easy task but eventually with motivation, one will succeed.…

The traits within myself that I identify as my strengths are my constant observation and drive to improve the world. While at first glance, these traits may appear to be everyday characteristics of people, but I feel they are the solid foundation which my other strengths, like leadership, organization, creativity, and balance and are built on. In high school, I was stage manager for the fall musical, a job that included being the point person for one hundred plus students for three months, communication between the production parties, and making sure everything ran on time. My observations as well as interviews with past stage managers and research helped me build a solid foundation…

The weaknesses that I agree with are that I have unrealistic goal expectations, but this unrealistic expectation pertains to me. I believe this goes hand in hand with role responsibility. I become frustrated if I am not able to provide quality work to the extent that I expect from myself. This weakness takes place not only in my working world, but also in my scholarly world and especially in my personal life. The weakness that I disagree with is…

The first of my strengths is achiever. This means that whenever I start something, I like to finish it and generally do whatever it takes to reach that goal. My second strength, adaptability, in a way, ties into the first one. Adaptability means being able to approach problems from different angles and finding new ways to complete things when one idea doesn't work. I feel like these two strengths relate to me pretty well. I do not like to leave projects open ended whenever I start them and I'm usually pretty good at 'rolling with the punches.' These two allow me to tackle situations in a variety of ways and leave me with plenty of the proverbial “plan B's” in case any of the first attempts do not work properly.…

SWOT stands for strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, says Ray Baker, a professor of economics, business and accounting at Rockford College in Rockford, Ill. By identifying factors under each of those four groupings, a person can more clearly analyze virtually any business problem. “There is lots of data around, but how do you combine these pieces of information in such a way that you can use it to get a group of people thinking together?” notes Baker. “It’s a way of setting up thinking about internal and external forces so you can formulate a clearer path to an outcome, whether it’s the right one or not.”…

Everyone does have weaknesses and flaws, but life is all about learning and aiming for the impossible target of perfection. One of my weaknesses is not knowing how to balance all of my subjects. I tend to zero in on one subject and put the others on the back burner. Another one of my weaknesses is procrastination, only in some instances. If it’s a paper, I will procrastinate, a test for a back burner subject, I will procrastinate studying until 2 days before or sometimes the day before. If it is my focus class I will put the time in to study a little bit one day and work up until the test. Again that’s where my balance for everything is off. I still manage to pull off and make a good grade, but if I had put in more time than my effort would increase and so would my grade. My strengths outweigh my weaknesses. I’ve noticed when I see that I am not understanding or grasping a concept I don’t hesitate to ask questions. I’m not a shy person so developing relationships with my professors is no problem. I will attend SI’s and office hours religiously. Another strength I have is I’m a very focused. I know what I want and know what it takes to get…

My strengths and weaknesses define who I am. My strengths help me become a better person and my weaknesses keep me fighting to be that better person. Recognizing my own personal strengths I am able to build on them and use them towards my advantage. I believe these attributes make you who you are and show your true abilities as a person. The famous quote, “My attitude is that if you push me towards something that you think is a weakness, then I will turn that perceived weakness into a strength”, by Michael Jordan, are wise words spoken to motivate one into thinking about the way they choose to life their life and how they go about it. Everyone has his or her own weaknesses; it is what you do with it that makes you who you are.…
