Movie Summary
Legally Blonde is a 2001 movie directed by Robert Luketic that narrates the life of Elle Woods. Elle Woods is a young pretty blonde girl that studies fashion merchandising in California. Elle is in love with a young man that has high aspirations to become a politician by the time he is thirty years old. He and Ellen had dated a few months but he decides to break up with her since he is going to go to Harvard school and needs to have a more serious relationship. Elle is disappointed and decides to challenge herself by applying for Harvard school. Her goal is to have a serious profession that will allow her to be with the love of her life. Elle’s friends and family don’t have faith on her since they think that she is not smart enough for joining such prestigious institution. Elle studies hard and manages to get accepted at Harvard Law School. Once in Harvard, Elle realizes that it is an environment that she is not used to. People dress differently and they do not look like the fun people she usually spends time with. Elle is confident that she can accomplish her goals. Because she studies hard, she manages to be part of an important murder trial that one of her professors is working on. Her professor is impressed that she is not only pretty but she is also smart that he suggests that they have an affair. Elle rejects him but her self-esteem goes down and she tries to leave Harvard. However, Elle’s friends and some professors at Harvard encourage her to stay and to show people her great potential. She ends up being the lawyer of the person accused of murder. Elle discovers who the real murderer is and wins the case. She graduates from Harvard Law School and gets an invitation to join Harvard’s Law firm.
