Persuading Going to the Movies
The thing I want to persuade you of me and liking movies. Well I start when I was small or smaller. Since I can remember I was going to the movie theater always watching the newest movies that would come out. I don’t know when it was that I started to go to the movies but ever since then I haven’t missed a weekend where a new movie would come out. My dad the one who would take me to the movies every weekend this was because my mom and dad were in a middle of a divorce so I would spend most of my weekend with my dad.

So we start with my dad and us going to the movies, I guess you could call it a small tradition we do, ohm and by us I mean me, my dad, and my sister. This is why most reasons I like to go to the theater. I mostly go on a Saturday, unless I see that there’s a really good movie that comes out on a weekday like Wednesday or Tuesday, I just got to see it. I also like to go because the arcade games that are there. There’s one game called the terminator and it’s cool because the game has these guns that are two or three feet long and weigh like five or seven pounds and you shoot the machines and it’s really hard but addicting.

There was one game that was pretty sick it was about shooting and killing animal and whoever got the most kills with the fewest bullets. Me and my dad would play that game a lot I would usually win because I’m good at aiming. When we would finish the games we’d usually or mostly get large drink with a large popcorn, or sometimes we’d get super nachos. The super nachos freaking delicious they put chips, nacho cheese, sour cream, guacamole, black olives, and if you want jalapeños. That’s just great man. Then you just give the man the ticket find the movie and sit back and watch your movie.

Your probably wondering what theater this is well this the theater in Albuquerque and the theater called rio 24 century. I forgot to mention that sometimes before we go to the movies we go out and eat at a restaurant. Today in these days

Summary: This is a webpage created by the Findingdulcineastaff that goes over and explains what the 14th Amendment is. It tells you that the 14th Amendment granted equal freedom to all people born in the U.S., even slaves. This obviously means that it abolished slavery. They passed this amendment for reconstruction of the U.S. after the devastation of the civil war. But it did have some downsides. The 14th Amendment did limit the power of state governments. This caused things…

Columbine High School (CHS) is a suburban public school located in Jefferson County, Colorado. Frank DeAngelis, a middle aged man who had previously coached football and baseball for sixteen years at Columbine, was the principal of the close-knit high school. He was loved by his students and admired by his staff for his ability to address his students as mature adults. The student body looked up to him and appreciated his truthfulness and lack of sugarcoating when serious topics were being discussed. Three days before prom an assembly was called to strengthen the awareness of the dangers of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Instead of just lecturing the students Mr. DeAngelis used his own life experiences to teach and guide the students along the safe paths that still allowed for occasional goofing off.…

Where is the perfect seat? Is it near the front so that the screen fills your visual field? Is it in the back so that in the dark the screen is at a natural height for the eyes? Or is it in the center of the movie theater where the speakers are at the perfect distance to optimize the sound? Only the very first person to enter an empty theater has the opportunity to make a seating decision based solely on visual and sound preferences. Every person entering the theater thereafter is subject not only to their own theater experience preferences but more importantly by the seating selections of all the people already seated.…

I have been enjoying going to the movies for over 20 and have never stopped loving the experience. I even remember the name of my first movie “The Land Before Time.” It was about a baby dinosaur that had lost his mother and had to make a great journey to the Great Valley to find his grandparents. In the end he does find them, after a great adventure with friends. I have always love movies that have a happy ending and also a little adventure. Another story that I read that had a happy ending was an essay called “Going to the Movies” by Susan Allen Toth 1980. In this essay she writes about what type of experiences she has with four different friends when she goes to the movies with them. Also, another essay I have read recently is called “A Century of Cinema” 1995…

We were not very lucky because the movie showing had already started and was almost through.…

First, let me give you an overview of film history. The first movie theaters in the United States were called nickelodeons. They were given this name because most admissions for a movie were only a nickel and "odeon" is the Greek word for theater. In June, 1905 the very first…

This theatre is located on 345 South First Street, San Jose. It didn’t look big from the outside but when I walked in, I was surprised. It is a classy, clean and fancy looking and there are different levels of seating. Furthermore, the seats are very comfortable and the crowd is very professional. I just felt like I was walking in cathedral in Europe. In my opinion, this is one of the best theatres in San Jose.…

In a recent study, it shows that three-quarters of adults, would rather watch movies at home, than going out to the movies. (Pew Research Center, 1994) Many people feel that going to the movies is becoming increasingly expensive these days. Unlike the old days, when you could afford to take your entire family out to the movies, now you can barely go on a date to the movies. Another recent study shows that about 72 percent of Americans go to the movies at least once per year. (Screen vision, 2011) In 2007, there were 2 percent less people that went out to the movies than, in 2006. (mpaa.org, Movie Attendance Survey 2007)…

I, personally, hate going to the movies. The prices are always more expensive every time I go. When I was in middle school I could go for around 8$, and now it’s more in the 15-20 dollar range. All to sit in a theater for 2ish hours and stare silently at a screen, something I could easily (and would prefer to) do at home. The only time I have gone to movies in the past few years are with family and friends, as a group activity. The cultural idea of seeing a movie is so culturally ingrained that people actually will spend 20$ on a movie ticket . Movie theaters are probably one of the few remaining “push” innovations, along with magazines and newspapers. You have to show up at a certain time, to a certain selection of movies, and pay by the movie. Movies are highly advertised (although I am told that LA had way more movie advertising than other US cities, which I had never really noticed since I’ve lived here my whole life) and an extremely money-based business. The movies produced by big names and companies are so different from independently made movies, especially in artisitc value. The movie industry is so highly commercialized that maybe we balance it out by seeing the films in something as old-fashioned as a theater. Seeing the movie in a theater also allows you to be one of the first to watch it (except for…

It has come down to people these days wanting to watch a movie over reading a book. For me it’s the glory, action, and drama of a real live movie that rills me into watching a movie over reading. Movies deliver the images and sounds directly; the content and the scene can be shown faithfully. To illustrate that this is true I created my own survey. I posted a status on Facebook saying reading a book and having to create the theme in your head or watch a movie and know exactly what is going on. The results were as expected nine out of twelve people answered that watching a movie creates a better understanding of what’s going on than in books. The human society are much more auditory and visual learners, which means they are not good at trying to figure things out in written words. For example, my college success teacher gave the class a test to take to see what our learning style was and ninety-five percent of the class were auditory or visual learners. This shows that watching a movie is helpful to some people who learn in different ways. Watching a movie allows one to multi-task and when reading a book one must concentrate on the book the whole time. For instance, when watching a movie you can sit down with a big bowl of popcorn and just keep on going as the movies goes along. When someone tries to read and eat popcorn they lose their page, their part, and it makes them start all over again. Where with a movie it allows you to stay connected and still be able to know what is going on in the movie. Movies have enabled a lot of people to learn and enjoy without having to read a book that will take weeks just to get it over with. Movies are the new books in this…

The movies are a great way to pass some time and escape reality for a couple of hours. People like movies for all sorts of different reasons. Movies usually come out each week on Friday night and on average three to four movies come out a week. That comes out to over two hundred movies a year and that is just mainstream film. One of the decisions people have to make is what movies to watch. The paper will discuss what the writer likes to watch, what he finds enjoyable, and what he does not. There is also the choice to watch in the theater or rent and watch at home. The first choice is more immersive and on a bigger screen while the second choice is less expensive and more intimate.…
