Many people keep cobra snakes as pets around the world. The people that keep them might be very experienced but that does not mean the snakes should be treated like a normal non venomous snake. They can still injure someone very bad. Cobra snakes have very dangerous venom that can kill an adult human and they require a lot of things to help the be healthy. Nobody should own a cobra snake.
The main reason nobody should own a cobra is that the cobra snake has very toxic venom. People that keep the snake as a pet don’t realize that the cobra is very dangerous. It can hurt anyone very bad or even kill them. Out of all the snakes in the world the cobra has one of the most toxic venom. Since cobras are usually large they have a lot of venom in them that is very powerful. Another fact that you might bring up is that not many people get hurt from cobras. Actually people do get bitten by cobras a lot. In one incident where a man was killed by a king cobra he was breeding them for 30 years and thought they would never hurt him but one of the cobras that he had bit him and killed him. Although in the united states only about 10 people die per year from snake bites that does not mean it can’t happen.
