Domestic Violence Pit Bulls Vs Cobras
Domestic violence
Domestic violence is a phenomenon which involves violence, or other abuse by one person against relative. According to an article that was published in March 1998 in the NYT magazine there are two types of abusive men – pit bulls and cobras. In this essay I will describe the similarities and the differences between cobras and pit bulls.
Both pit bulls and cobras had suffered from a traumatic childhood. Pit bulls probably had fathers who battered their mothers and cobras suffered from criminal records that maybe related to their broken homes that they lived in. Also, the two types express their angry emotions in a violent way towards their wives which sometimes ends with a murder of them.

The two variables I have chosen to review in this paper are the aggressiveness in Pit Bulls versus the aggressiveness in other breeds of dogs. I will be Researching Pit Bull attacks, bites and so on to see what is really true, compared to other breed of dogs. Many know this breed has the ability to be quite dangerous animals, but that does not mean they are a risk to the population. In this paper we will look at graphs to determine what the truth really is. Honestly, I do not believe the breed is “evil” and “natural killers”. The aggressive nature of pit bulls has been an area of debate for many years now. Many cities have banned the ownership of Pit Bulls, and some groups are pushing for the destruction of the…

Some people think that Pit Bulls are inherently vicious but that is not true, Pit Bulls are only vicious if someone makes them that way. There are not bad dogs, only bad people. A pit bull is not inherently vicious, if they are aggressive and attack, either the person most likely deserved it or they were trained to do so. Furthermore, Pit bulls are no more vicious than Golden Retrievers, Beagles, and other well known dogs. There was a recent study by the American Temperament Testing Society that tested 122 dog breeds and Pit Bulls had a passing score of 86.8%. Pit Bulls ranked fourth for the highest passing breed in this study. You are very unlikely to be fatally attacked by a Pit Bull. In fact, you are 60 times more likely to die from falling…

They are quite loyal dogs. Pit bulls tend to make terrible guard dogs, they love people too much. However, this is not always a good thing. Pmarinc says “because pit bulls are so people-orientated they do not make good guard dogs. Unless you just want them to smother intruders with hugs and kisses.” Also, because pit bulls love their owners so much, they will do anything for them. Even if their owner is a criminal commit crimes. The myth that pit bulls are extremely vicious is false, pit bulls are only vicious if you raise them to be. Pit bulls were bred to be in dog fights and that is why they got a bad…

Many people are deeply afraid of Pit Bulls. This breed repeatedly appears on the news mostly because the dog has attacked another dog or a human being. Some of the attacks have been severe enough to cause harm and even death. Many believe that Pit Bulls are born aggressive since it is known that breeders have bred them over the years to become more muscular in comparison to other breeds like the Golden Retriever. The more muscular the dog is the better it will do when it is introduced to dog fighting. Knowing this, it is very easy to believe that because the dog has been bred to be stronger and has been used for dogfighting, it has inherited the aggressive trait and is more likely act on it, however studies have shown otherwise. A study by the University of Pennsylvania states “the top three biters of humans were actually smaller dogs: Dachshunds, Chihuahuas and Jack Russell terriers” (Viegas).…

Banned in Sweden, neutered, muzzled, and microchip-identified in Great Britain, and prohibited from entering some areas of North America, the pit bull terrier is as much a victim of the press as it is of its historic breeding to fight other dogs. Some unscrupulous owners, taking advantage of its natural tenaciousness and strength, continue to use abusive training techniques to produce fighting pit bulls, willing to take on any animal, and even humans. Therefore, pit bulls are said to be popular with irresponsible owners, who see these dogs as a symbol of machismo. This type of owner may be less likely to socialize, train, or desex their pet. Obviously, irresponsible ownership can have a great impact on how a breed is represented in attack statistics. However, what hasn¡¯t been…

When many people see a pit bull or the breed is mentioned they instantly stereotype them as being aggressive and monstrous beasts, this however is not the case as all! Pit bulls have been breed over the years as fighting dogs. The owners have raised them to be extremely violent and attack other dogs by treating them harshly and training them to do so at a young age. However, over the years people have wrongfully stereotyped pit bulls because their owners have trained them to be violent. The only dogs that do are the ones that have been trained to do so by humans. The humans are the ones who have created this so called “monstrous beast”. Pit bulls are the world’s most misunderstood breed of dogs that have been wrongfully stereotyped against for many years.…

Domestic violence is “a pattern of behavior used to establish power and control over another person through fear and intimidation, often including the threat or use of violence,” according to Safe Horizon (SH, 2015). Domestic violence can occur in many different relationships, such as parent-child relationships, dating couples relationships, or even sibling relationships. The psychological consequences of domestic violence are overlooked, most of the time, by people with the speculation that the victim can always just leave their attackers. Only about half of the cases of domestic violence are actually reported to authorities, according to the Feminist Majority Foundation (FMH, 2014). Battered…
