Nuclear power, it’s the probably the most modern nature generator of electricity that we have available at this movement, but is all this power really worth it? Nuclear power use uranium to generate electricity, a metal that is mined as in large quantities, with Canada, Australia and U.S providing more than half of the world's supplies.
Humanity is using coal and oil faster than earth can make it, if people use oil too much then it can be run out in the next 70 years. Furthermore, nuclear power work in a same way like other power plants work, but instead of using coal or gas to generate heat, they use nuclear fission reactions. A fission reaction is a heavy nucleus that split suddenly with another particle to release energy. A fire in the reactor caused a release of radioactivity, which led to a ban on milk sales from nearby farms. The site was later renamed Sellafield. Modern reactors are designed to shut down automatically. The worst nuclear power accident in history took place in Chernobyl in 1986 when a reactor there exploded, killing tens of people instantly and exposing hundreds of thousands more to radiation.

As a final point, one reason why uranium is used in nuclear power is that it has the advantage of being fissile. That means some of the particles that are emitted by radioactivity hit other atoms which force them to release particles in turn. The uranium releases its heat to a primary coolant, usually water, and this is then transferred to a secondary coolant which drives the turbines to produce electricity. In simple terms, a radioactive material such as uranium spontaneously breaks apart. However, it gives out energy and this energy, in the form of heat, can be used to drive an electricity
