An addition, in volleyball my position is a setter.
The position makes me feel like a leader. I want people coming to me for help. In practice or games when I am setting it gives my arms and legs more strength. Having more strength will give me more opportunities in the future. Just participating in the sport guarantees lots of running, but as a setter you do more running than any other position. Before my teammates start warming up I enjoy doing the different drills and other pre warmups.Warming up as a team I get to stay and practice my setting. I care about my position very much that is why I need to keep practicing and keep working hard to make myself
better. Best of all, my teammates are what I enjoy most. They are always there to cheer me up when I put my head down. Whether I'm on or off the court they treat me with respect and kindness. Before home games we all just talk and enjoy each others company. On away games they always find a way to make the trip enjoyable. If we are on the court and I make a mistake they encourage me to persevere. I hope that I make them feel the same way when they mess up. At the end of the games win or lose they keep their heads up and stay positive. We work together as one to win the game. I need my teammates to win, because it takes more than one to succeed. In conclusion volleyball is a very active and enjoyable sport to play. While loving the game you get a lot from it including strength. I appreciate our rotations, my position, and of course my teammates. As I get older I will work harder to get better. I have a passion for this sport; and I hope I will get the opportunity to play in college.
