Persuasive Essay On The Holocaust

The Holocaust is likely the most horrible tragedy in recent history. It had such a powerful and negative affect on the entire human race. It is incredibly hard and terrifying to think that people can be so evil to the point where they do such terrible things to millions of other people, and only because of a different faith or race. Words cannot describe how much pain this caused for so many people around the planet. One survivor of this tragedy believes that because of all the horrors of the Holocaust, something wonderful was born. Israel Arbeiter used his experiences to show that a new love for humanity, will make the world a better place, and respectful remembrance of those who died were created because of the Holocaust.
When Mr. Arbeiter says he prays for a new love of humanity to be born out of the Holocaust, he means that he prays for us as humans to preserve our species instead of destroy it. Millions of innocent people were tortured and slaughtered during the Holocaust. We now see that and know it’s disgusting. He hopes we can learn from that disgust and help each other instead of kill and discriminate each other. It is simple: we learn from our mistakes, and act based on what we have learned. We already realize that the Holocaust was a horrible tragedy, and it should never have happened, but that is only the beginning. We should take the destruction that we learned can happen so easily because of us, and take that into consideration when doing something big. This can range from choosing leaders, to going to war.
