Persuasive Essay Zoos

Many zoos are responsible for animal rights as well with their health, death and extinction. Zoos all around the world are misused and need to be put to an end. Others may disagree otherwise and believe zoos is the key to safety. However, animals do not belong in zoos because they do not have enough shelter as they would in their own habitat. Also, animals that are fenced in can be risky enough to put themselves to their death. However, I do not accept zoos being established everywhere, but a balance will disagree. People have the passion of zoos because of the anticipation of extinction occurring and believe zoos are the heros of saving them. For instance, various of animals in Africa are becoming extinct, and if numerous animals are in zoos younger children or people who never witnessed a “giraffe” or a “tiger” will finally get to experience one. In fact, “In Denmark, They are Mad about Marius” established a Giraffe Center where they are devoted in rescuing giraffes due to extinction (qtd in Jabeen Bhatti). With this said, Tigers are the
identification of a protected animal in China's Wildlife Protection Law, but only qualified in wild animals not the ones carried in zoos (qtd in Xiyun Yang). Zoo Lovers assume that animals are safer in zoos than out in the wild.
Animals go from running freely in the wild and with no doubt running in circles in a cage.
In addition, animals should not live their lives in a cage with no freedom and unacceptable shelter. By the same time spoken, in the Northeastern China, Shenyang Zoo is known as a symbol of mistreated zoos in “Tiger Deaths Raise Alarms About Chinese Zoos” by Xiyun Yang. For example, she claimed that the tigers held here were only fed two chicken legs a day! By the time help arrived turns out the sickest tigers can only be fed intravenously. According to a 21 year old hospitality worker, Laura Ainsworth in “”Visitors Expose Cruelty at Scandal Zoo” witnessed blood escaping from the horns and ears of giraffes ( qtd in Gabrielle Swerling). Gabrielle Swerling also states same experience of giraffes bleeding and penguins without water. With little effort from zoos, zoos need basic rules on how to properly take care of an
animal. Meanwhile, animals imprisoned can cause themselves enough danger to send them to death. “Visitors Expose Cruelty at Scandal Zoo” by Gabrielle Swerling shows that 500 animals have died in the past four years and South Lakes Safari Zoo found out 486 animals died December 2013 to September 2016. A quality of animals such as the cat family end up dying because of the misuse of the zoo like the Shenyang Zoo. In February 2014, Jabeen Bhatti explains “In Denmark, They are Mad about Marius” Copenhagen Zoo killed a healthy 14 month giraffe by feeding it to the lions, then kills a 14 and 16 year old lions along with their two cubs because of their own thoughts of having to many of the same species. Another zoo Bhatti claimed is the northeastern zoo where 11 siberian tigers starved to death. Danger is being enforced on these animals due to it being on purpose or decision making.
Above all, numerous people around the world agree with the opportunity of zoos and various people like me do not agree with encountering them. One opinion was rights being enforced including the intolerable shelter. Next was danger from animals and from people. With no doubt, I do not agree with zoos being acknowledged around the world and believe zoos needs to come to an end!
