In today’s world most hunters chase and kill animals for the fun not because they need the food to survive. They don’t care that many times they cause pain and suffering to the animals. Quick kills don’t happen very often during a hunt. Many animals need to be shot again by the hunters to die. It also often happens that when an animal is shot by a hunter it escapes. Very often the hunter will give up pursuing the animal. Than the animal most likely will have to suffer a long and painful death. For example, biologists of the South Dakota Department of Game, Fish and Parks found that 20 percent of foxes that where wounded by hunters had to be shot again. Furthermore they estimated that 3 million wounded ducks go un-retrieved every year.

I wonder how we as humans would feel if an animals would take a gun and started to hunt us? Hunting has nothing to do with sport. We should put signs wherever we know that animals are being hunted saying “Stop Hunting Animals”. Hunting causes pain and surfing because, many animals have to be shot again in order to be killed. Hunting can also devastate entire animal communities and wipe out entire species.
