So I wanted to touch base with you all about our first issue. We will have our first meeting and layout night on Monday September 4th for a Sept. 6 issue. I figured it would be best that everyone settled in their first week of classes and not worry about the newspaper.
The meeting will be held at 5p.m. in either the Blue and White room or the Clock tower room.. (I will let everyone know the official place once I confirm).
So since we will not be having a paper the first week, I think you guys should take advantage and possibly cover as many events as you can and come up with opinion pieces or reviews (depending your section).
Here are some ideas I have came up with to help you guys out:
For News I believe Angela and Sarah …show more content…
but here are some things I thought of-- I am thinking in some way making some sort of a list on the events being held at campus at the given week because CAN is doing a lot of events for the freshman to welcome them in. You guys can also write a fun survival guide for incoming freshmen. There is also a lot of events welcoming everyone back to class so you guys can write a recap of opening week. There are these type of events going on:
CAN Welcome Week Paint Night 8/30/2017 5:00 PM
CAN Stuff a Bear 8/31/2017 12:00 PM
C.A.N. - Flick n' Float & Pool Party 9/2/2017 6:00 PM
Movie, book, TV reviews are also great too! Summer trends, Fall is coming etc. etc.
Also PLEASE let Charles know what events you would like him to be at so he can take pictures!! We need to make sure that most of the photos are of our own.
Analisa you already told me about things you were working on so I don't feel like I have anything to tell you. Just let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Hope everyone enjoys their final week of vacation and I can not wait to work with you all this upcoming semester! Any questions, please talk to me!
Thank you
