PESTEL analysis for McDonald’s . In order to support companies and organisations in making decisions and plans for future actions, those need to understand the wider ‘micro-economic’ and ‘macro-economic’ environments in which they operate. PESTEL analysis is a useful tool for understanding risks associated with market position and the potential growth or decline.
1 POLITICAL FACTORS: In terms of regulations any organisation are profoundly influenced by the individual state policies enforced by each government and McDonald’s is no exception. Other factors as employment law and tax law can also influence and affect the organisation growth. In many working environment employment restrictions like working hour’s regulation requires the organisation for example, to employ more staff and this is increasing the overall cost involved. Certain laws penetrate so profound that they even constrain the content of the food.
2 ECONOMIC FACTORS – which can influence a company with global presence like McDonalds, are the inflation rate, wage rate and the living cost. The economic factors can also determine the supply and demand of the raw materials inside of company.
3 SOCIAL FACTORS:
• Customers are getting at older ages in life, they are more concerned in long term increasing their permanence, and they are looking for a healthier lifestyle. Due to this fact, McDonalds is trying to adapt and change their menu.
• Survey has proved that the most frequent McDonald’s customers are below the age of thirty-five, so, McDonalds is trying to attract them with diverse sport campaigns and promotions.
• Is a very well-known fact, that for the success of a food industry, the key is the quality of product, customer service and customer satisfaction. In order to meet these keys, McDonalds has introduced the toys menus for children – satisfaction for parents and children.
4 TECHNOLOGICAL FACTORS:

Once they are in the restaurant the menu should be fit to meet the needs of all of them.
