Bookworship
Book worship for me is like making the books as the center of your thinking. You base every action of yours and even decisions on what the book says about. An example of this is when you just memorize everything in the book without even understanding it. I have a classmate who is good at memorizing things so whenever we have exams on subjects that require memorization she would always top at it. But there was a time when our teacher gave us an essay of a topic and we must answer it the way we understand the topic. After a week or so our teacher gave back our paper and my classmate was shocked because she got low score and inquires our teacher about it. Our teacher said that her answer was not her understanding about the topic but what she just read in the book and just copied it word for word. We read books so that we can understand things and expand our knowledge, not just to read it for the purpose of memorizing it.
