Philosophy Of Classroom Management
I believe that my classroom management plan will work to provide my students with a safe and supportive learning environment in many different ways. My classroom management plan is supportive because it includes outside resources that not all classrooms might have. I have implemented a technology/digital center so the students are able to work on assignments in the class. I also have stations where the students are able to work in a group of four or a group of five with the teacher instructing them. My class room is safe for all students because there is enough space to get throughout the entire classroom without having things in the way. There is a nice flow of space.
One way I plan on getting to know my students is by having
them take home a survey to complete in powerpoint point form with slides about themselves and what they like to do. The survey presentation will include family pictures, sports, hobbies and other such activities that the students might enjoy. I will present to my students first and then they will all present.
I plan on allowing my students to put in suggestions about the rules of the classroom. Yes, I will have my own set of rules for them but it is important to see if they can come up with any other rules that might be beneficial to them as a whole. If something goes wrong I will be sure to address it right away and continue to implement the rules and responsibilities throughout the school year.
I will be in constant communication with my class at all times. The students will have the ability to post questions to an open forum 24/7 that they can submit either anonymous or include their name. This will help clear up some small questions that students or parents might wonder. When it comes to behavior I my classroom, I will not tolerate any profanity, bullying, or inappropriate gestures. This will prevent issues from occurring but if something does occur it will be addressed immediately.
If I am absent one day I will be sure to always keep an updated binder with materials for any substitute teacher that might step in to take my place. It will be current with information from that week and activities that we have completed and other various activities that I would like the students to compete.
