Physical Space Is Different Than US
In India, physical space is different than U.S. for example, India people stand close to you while standing in line, or if you are at doctor and you waiting for your turn people will sit next you without asking you. In India, it’s normal thing but in U.S. people make distance from each other and they ask first before sitting next to you.
Secondly, in India when people meet other people for first time. They just do greeting and eye contact is accepted. Especially for women they can’t handshake with men. In U.S. If you meet someone for first time handshake with them and doesn’t matter of genders.
