The picture archiving and communication system is connected with different workstation by using local area network, it comprises of an image acquisition machines, a workstation and a server (RHEL with IBM DB2 Server Database). In the picture archiving and communication system the patient initial data is written to the database using server with a particular medical record number or patient ID. Doctors can easily enter data for patient, search data and update data along with their reports e.g. CT scan and X-ray. Patient CT scan and X-rays reports are acquired from acquisition machine and are saved to matching patient ID in database. In searching doctor can search a patient data by its first name, last name, patient Id and date. Patient data that is saved in the database is also compressed data with lossless compression. In compression, patient reports are compressed without any loss of byte and then decompress the report at the time of viewing it by doctor. It also includes a system of radiology (X-rays and CT scans) that helps radiologist in decision making for their patient. In this system we can insert, update and search patient data. The insertion include patient form with first name, last name, address, phone no, patient id and other forms e.g. mortality form, clinical summary, dietary plans, financial and education, discharge form, progress form. By using these forms huge amount of patient data can be gathering. On the other hand in searching, doctor can search the patient information by patient first name, last name, patient id and date. While inserting all these information about patient on other work station there is a acquisition device attached with it, by using this doctor can insert the X-rays and CT scans reports of the patient.
