The chart in image two contains the data found in the first part of the experiment. After allowing the pill bugs to roam freely within the confines of the styrofoam tray throughout each of the substrate, we found that after five minutes that one of the bugs was counted on the soil environment and four were found
in the leafy setting. Though the ending data seemed to correspond with our original hypothesis, the most time by the pill bugs was spent in the soil substance. In fact, the one that remained in the soil after the five minutes, burrowed itself there within the first thirty seconds of the experiment.
The third image contains the chart from the second half of our experiment. This data recorded from the experiment showed that the pill bugs spent most of their time within the soil environment. This set of data serves to prove the preferred environment of the pill bugs and serves to clear up the flaw in the first part of the experiment. Another thing to notice is the intense dislike the pill bugs showed to the sand. During the procedure, most of the pill bugs would not set foot on the sandy environment, and even preferred the empty space over the sand.
