Piper Chapman Flashbacks

The majority of episodes contain Pipers flashbacks, Piper Chapman comes from a upper-class white family. Her parents believe in money, and having a clean image to the world. Piper isn’t into that lifestyle though. She’s reckless and a little self-destructive. During the beginning of the season it’s shown that Piper met Alex and instantly fell in love with her. Piper started to become clingy and attached, and got involved in the drug smuggling too. The drug cartel started taking advantage of Piper. They wanted her to be the one that smuggles all the drugs over, as she doesn’t look like she’d be involved with this at all. Piper gets arrested because Alex gave her name up. The backstory really shows how people think and people act. It shows how having everything in the world doesn’t always make you happy. It’s constantly showing the relationship with Alex, and shows how Piper lived extremely reckless. Piper was living as free as possible, she didn’t really have a care in the world. Prison has shaped her into becoming this whole new person.
These people all ended up in the same place, after living such incredibly different lives. Every single person in that prison has a story of why they’re there. Some people have just been in the wrong place at the wrong people, while others have been in charge of an international drug cartel. At the end of it all, they’re all in prison. It doesn’t matter if they’re in a mob, or get charged for theft, or if they were drug dealers. They all ended up in the same place. This prison has shaped these girls to not be divided by race, or divided by social class. At the end of the day, they take care of each other in there. They stand united against the guards, and against punishment and cruelty that they don’t
