The Killer Angels is novel about the American Civil War told by the men who fought. The battle took place in Gettysburg. On July 1, 1863 the Confederate Army fought against the Union army. The story begins with a spy coming to Longstreet inform him that Union army is moving in near. Robert E. Lee, commander of the Confederate army; General James Longstreet, Lee’s second in command; and Union Colonel Joshua L. Chamberlain. The Battle of Gettysburg fighting on Little Round Top.
Longstreet’s focus was primary defense. Being in the North the Confederate army can’t successfully conquer the Union. The Union army was much larger than the Confederate army. Longstreet planed was to wait behind stone walls and in ditches also cut down the enemy. Lee wishes to airstrike out in the open, honorably, and just defeat the enemy with good tactical.
