1 A) Andrew Mark Cuomo born December 6, 1957 is the 56th and current Governor of New York, He was the 64th New York State Attorney General, and was the 11th United States Secretary of Housing and Urban Development. Born in Queens, New York, he is the son of Mario Cuomo, the 52nd Governor of New York (1983–1994). A member of the Democratic Party, he was a top aide to his father during his 1982 campaign for Governor. Andrew Cuomo was appointed to the Department of Housing and Urban Development as Assistant Secretary in 1993, a member of President Bill Clinton's administration. From 1984 to 1985 he was a New York assistant district attorney. He briefly worked at the law firm of Blutrich, Falcone & Miller.
