Since the seasons are changing, the weather is finally starting to cool.
The current air quality pollutant for Georgia is 81 which, is moderate. Moderate levels for air pollution are 51-100. Moderate is okay but, for people who have air sensitivity it can cause, little problems. Air quality level should be 0 to 50 for a good range. Any air pollution level that goes pass 100 pollutant particles is a health risk alert level. Individuals with lung disease, asthma, and even allergies can easily be affected by air pollution. Another main problem of concern in Georgia is emission control. Since the population continues to grow in Atlanta and congestion on traffic is always accruing. The reaction is causing health issues surrounding hospitalizing, lung cancer, damaging lung and premature
death. In the southern state emissions test are done each year rather than inspections. The emissions test checks for hydrocarbon, carbon monoxide, and nitrogen oxides. If any of the levels are too high this means the vehicle is not processing fuel correctly. If a individual fails emission test they would have to find out what is causing the problem before there last tag expire or the vehicle is not allowed on the road. Emissions test are important because, it helps controls smog. Smog is another name for atmosphere pollutants. The earth’s atmosphere from the earth up goes troposphere between is ozone layer, stratosphere, mesosphere, thermosphere and exosphere (satellites). The ozone layer and stratosphere protect the earth from sun radiation. Air pollution is causing the ozone layer to deteriorate. This causing the sun to heat up the earth causing unhealthily environmental reactions. The reason why we need to protect are air quality is because; it is the only way we survive. Without clean air the earth is slowly dies and everyone will be affected with it.
