TASK 1
My Tools
Accomplish the H chart. Interview an administrator or faculty member. Get their ideas/views of the curriculum. Write the differences on both sides and the similarities at the centre and then write your personal insights.
My Insights
My insights about tradational and progressive, is that they have many differences.
Traditional curruiculum much easy compare to progressive interms of implementation.
But I more prefer to use the progressive curriculum, because students in progressive curriculum is more eager to learn unlike from traditional.
Answer these question in a separate sheet: 1. Why do we need to consider the traditional and progressive point of view of curriculum? 2. How do the different educational philosophies relate to the curriculum in the schools you visited? Cite complex/situations. 3. Why is there a need to revise the curriculum from time to time?
Answers:
1.) We need to consider the traditional and progressive points of view of curriculum, it is because in a classroom, a diverse student could be found. As a teacher you must fit your teachings to the needs of everyone in your class. All were not the same, you need tactics so that your students can absorb what you taught and can apply it within their lives for them to survive and to be competitive enough in this
