Positive Consequences Of The Industrial Revolution
The Industrial Revolution was a period during which mainly agricultural, handicraft rural societies changed to one dominated industrial, machine manufactured urban areas. This took place in the 18th and 19th centuries. The Industrial Revolution was a positive and negative experience for Britain during this time, the positive consequences of the Industrial Revolution include, changes in infrastructure and architecture, the Agricultural Revolution and social changes. However there were also many negative consequences of Industrial Revolution, which include awful working conditions, pollution and riots were very common.

Factories were releasing unsafe gases into the air as a result of this The Great Smog of London in 1952, more 4,000 people were killed. Air pollution caused the same fatal diseases as water pollution such as Chlorea, Typhoid, and Typhus

Riots and rebellion can be considered as another negative result of the Industrial revolution. The technology that drove the Industrial Revolution also brought about huge changes in the ways people worked. The workers who lost their jobs protested by participating in riots. Protest movements developed during the nineteenth century as working class and middles classes became more educated. Because of this education, they desired to have a say in the way that their lives were run.
A number of different assemblies begun, each had their own separate protest to make. Some protested calmly, whereas others used violence, sabotage and threats to force change. Source 3 below shows a flyer that was put up during the Industrial Revolution so that they could catch people who were frame breaking in
