Postpartum Healing Summary
When I read first read “The Benefits of Placenta Encapsulation for Postpartum Healing” by Lindsay I did not expect the way it would we done. I found myself repulsed over the way this had to be done regardless. I felt exactly like the author “completely turned off” and still feel this way. While yes, “experiencing difficult postpartum blues after the births” may be annoying but there has to be a better way to go about it. Maybe some anti-depressions pills might work with rest along doing with something you love to do to. Yet they decided to go with the simple method being taking to be made into a pill to be taken. While it makes it less gross is still essentially the same thing as consuming it because you’re still going to take the nutrients from it and feel …show more content…
If the body really intended of you consuming it wouldn’t come out to begin with and you would absorb it within your body without doing anything what so ever, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. The author goes on to say she has “always struggled with poor milk supply and have been forced to supplement by six months of age. This time I have experienced a significant increase in my milk supply than ever before”. I believe she should just stay with the supplement milk since she also stated that “. Encapsulation costs anywhere between $150-250 dollars”. With that money you could have just bought the supplement milk to begin with and had never gone through the trouble to begin with of taking the pill and depending on it. She also stated that consuming it “was having a significant impact on keeping me balanced emotionally”, adding another reason onto why not to consume it. It was having side effects on her which would affect her day to day life. If she is unable to keep her emotions in check she might do something at work or say something she would not say under normal
