Course Name: Public Relations II and Corporate Communication I Assignment # A 310 (CM)

Before we plan the press conference announcing the launch of Air Asia operation in India, we have to make a PR plan for the Launch of Air Asia India.

Overview | Announcement of Launch of Air Asia Operations in India. The challenge faced is of introducing a new brand in a market where the consumers are already loyal to the existing competitors. E.g. Jet Airways, Indigo (which is also a low cost airline), etc. | Goals | The goal of the press conference is to instill in the consumers that Air Asia is a more affordable, dependable and reliable way to travel. Also to put flying within the reach of the country’s vast middle class. | Strategies | The main strategy will be to focus on the affordability of the fares as well as the frequency of flights. Another key tactic is to emphasize the reliability of the airline. | Target Audiences | The target audience is the middle and lower middle class who believe that air travel is expensive and out of their reach. Another target audience is frequent flyers who travel for business and require their flights to run on schedule. | Key Target Media | The media used to propagate these communications will be popular but credible magazines including business & economy magazines, along with television new reports.Another medium will be social media. | PR Tools | The PR tools and tactics used will be press conferences, press releases, celebrity endorsements to add a touch of glamour and most prominent shall be third party endorsements by other companies. |

Now that the plan is in place, we will move on to organizing a press conference, adhering to the above PR plan.

1. Who will be attending
To make this press conference a success, we need to get journalists from all walks of life. Journalists from widely circulated newspapers are a must. They will responsible to spread the word. Also feature writers
