This year we have a set of twin girls born at twenty-six weeks and developmentally on a one year old level. One is still crawling and the other has just learned to walk along with being non-verbal and have sensory issues their educational goals now are geared towards social and emotional. Both girls started after our Christmas break and they are still getting settled into a daily routine of school. Some of my concerns with this year are how to incorporate them into the daily routine with my students and how to keep them from getting hurt inside of a classroom of very active four and five-year-old children while still maintaining a schedule and learning environment for all students. I work with an aide in the classroom as well as an Assistant teacher who actively participate in decision making and classroom instruction.
