Prejudice, stereotyping, discrimination, racism, and sexism usually overlapped. The term prejudice is an adverse judgment or an opinion formed beforehand or without knowledge of the facts. It can be a preconceiving opinion or feeling whether positive or negative.
Giving meaning and judgment in everyday life becomes a way of living for some individuals. Thus, they give interpretation about matters that they think they concern them. In addition, these thoughts individuals have about a person or maybe an event seems to lack empirical basis. Therefore it is considered to be a prejudice. One important message that was stressed in the movie is that tolerance is ideal and the recognition that intolerance may be around. Knowing what you truly are as a person will make life less complicated and accepting the fact that people are different from one another in terms of preferences and ideals. At the end of the movie, it imparts that life is about timing, opportunity and choices. It is still up to the person whether he or she will make the right choices at the right time because our judgments can prevent us from seeing the good that lies beyond life.
