Memoirs of Titanic
At the time of her construction, R.M.S Titanic was the largest ship ever built. Gigantically weighing 46,000 tons, 900 feet long and stood 25 stories high, it had surely gave justice to its name. Captain Edward Smith Maneuvered the Ship. It was bound for New York, leaving the port of England on April 10, 1912.
Heaving with glitz and glamour, the Titanic illuminated beauty from the darkest of the night. Banquet was seized almost everywhere. It was all fun and festivity for that evening. Meantime at the Masters deck, although the Wireless operators received several Ice Warning from other ships on the area, the Titanic continued to rush through the darkness at nearly full steam/speed. Consequently, even after the ships` radar detected ices up ahead it continued its course, believing that the ship can handle the unpredicted catastrophe. More than 2200 passengers and crew were aboard the Titanic on her maiden voyage to the United States. The passengers included some of the wealthiest and prominent people at the time.
After what seemed a minor collision with an Iceberg the grandest moving object ever, swallowed deep beneath the ocean, just like that. Some call it misfortune, carelessness, omen while others pertain to as a “Nightmare of the Century”.
Beauty behind the Disaster
The Titanic ship was meant to be grand and luxurious. Owned and operated by white star liner. From 1908 to 1909, over 15,000 Irish shipyard workers built the vessel. As compensation each workers were paid $10 a week. Designed by Thomas Andreuse, the titanic was equipped with the ultimate in-turn-of-the-country design and technology.
Nevertheless the known Masterwork was demolished that very night. Because of the terrible loss of life and the demise of what everyone thought was “unsinkable
