Titanic: The Most Influential American Film

Everyone felt the cold breeze on their face, their eyelashes; frozen. Their hair is iced in place and everyone is surrounded by freezing cold water. No one can feel their body, it has only been ten minutes but people around Rose are already dying. The movie, Titanic, is based on historical stories 50 years prior. White Star Line, the contractors for the creation of the Titanic, and many others, believed that the ship was unsinkable. Therefore, no one would get on the lifeboats. Although, today's forensic science proves many flaws that the ship held. The Titanic is the most influential American film because it illustrates a profound look into history, uses engineering to recreate the historical event, and demonstrates how to live life.

If the Titanic wasn’t created, the historical event of its sinking would be forgotten or would be only a faint memory of what happened that day. The most acknowledgement the event would receive is maybe, two or three pages in a history text-book. Everyone knows the story, that on April 15

A Night to Remember is also focused around the Titanic sinking. It is more like a documentary in action but it is a very good example of what happened on April 15. A Night to Remember has really good effects for when it was made, although the movie is old fashioned and is short. A Night To Remember focused its attention on the ship sinking only. The viewers already knew what was going to happen. While the Titanic sinking is more of a backdrop for the movie, Although unlike A Night to Remember, Titanic is moving and draws emotions to all audiences.
