ASSIGNMENT OF MANAGEMENT

Management is the process of reaching organizational goals by working with and through the people. It’s a function which coordinates the effort of people to reach the goals and objectives by using the available resources effectively and efficiently. The main aim of management is to create corporate policies, organizing, planning, controlling and directing organizational resources in order to achieve the objectives of that policy. In the words of Robert H. Hilkert he has defined management as an art as well as science. Management is an art as it has practical knowledge. The knowledge of management can only be learned by practice and experience. As a science the management has to follow some principles which are universally applicable to all the organization. The concept of management is based on the basis of observation, research, analysis and experimentation.
Elaborate Management: To know the depth of management. One should know its basic characteristics. There are three main characteristics of management.
1. Flexible & open: The principles of management are flexible, open and dynamic in nature. They can be modified and adapted by need of the organization and the changing time.
2. Teamwork: Management is not an activity of a single person but it’s the work of a team to get the desired goal. An organization can’t be successful without teamwork. The board of directors should be cooperative with the subordinates. They should discuss the plans with the subordinates.
3. Multi activities: Management is required in all the fields like economies, commerce, cooperation, finance, political science, sociology, statistics, engineering, ecology, geography, biology, etc. It’s the basic necessities of an organization. Management helps in developing the skills and dealing with the organizational problems.
