The definition to euthanasia is the intentional killing by intentionally causing a person's death by performing an action such as by giving a lethal injection or omission of a dependent human being for his or her alleged benefit intentionally causing death by not providing necessary and ordinary (usual and customary) care or food and water.
The first recorded statement suggesting euthanasia was in 400 B.C. circa by Greek physician Hippocrates, "I will give no deadly medicine to any one if asked, nor suggest any such counsel" This statement insinuates that this practice has been going on for some time. Unfortunate for some the United States, has also disapproved of euthanasia since before the nineteenth century. The laws of Connecticut, stated that "if one counsels another to commit suicide, and the other by reason of the advice kills himself, the advisor is guilty of murder as principal." 2 Z. Swift, A Digest of the Laws of the State of Connecticut 270 (1823). However in 1998 U.S. state of Oregon legalizes assisted suicide making it the only state were a person can legally be assisted with suicide. In the rest of the states euthanasia is criminalized.
