However, depending on the popularity of the place, you may need to book well in advance. Places like Yosemite National Park tend to get very busy during the summer, so it is highly recommended to book a year to 6 months in advance. There are site fees and regulations that vary from campground to campground. Look at the camps’ websites and ask for availability, and find out what the fees to camp are. Also, consider what kind of person you are. Do you like to go hiking? Do you rock climb? Are you a mere stargazer? Are you into Trail running? Or are you a Mountain Biker? Narrowing it down will help you in deciding where the best place would be to enjoy your outdoor getaway. This can be the most crucial part of the trip. Don’t make it a nightmare and get as much input about the place you wish to visit. Some campgrounds offer water, bathrooms, and hot showers.
