Hello Ashlee;
According to your post, it seems we have some things in common, except I did not land my role in the healthcare field as of yet. I’m currently studying to obtain my Bachelor degree in Healthcare Administration, which is my short term goal. A long-term goal is to earn a Masters’ degree in Health Information Management. Procrastination has been my best friend since I can remember, I’m glad Kaplan has this type of curriculum to stay on track on a weekly basis. The tool I used to assist me in breaking some of the procrastination is the time management tool located in the Community Center/My Community/Webinars from the home page where there is a previously recorded session to guide you to work on the hindrance. Also, I started working

But on the other hand, it could be bad because, if you just sit around and do absolutely nothing. If you manage your time carefully, you would get done a lot faster and easier. As said in sentence 8, “Dr. Perry generously acknowledges that he has stood on the shoulders of iants, in particular Robert Benchley , the Algonquin Round Table Member. In 1930, Benchley revealed how he mustered the willpower to pore through scientific magazines and build a bookshelf when an article was due.”…

    Procrastination is a trait I have wanted to change about myself for a very long time. I always put things off telling myself I will get to it, which leads to years of stalling. My issue with procrastination has hindered me in many ways, one being, applying for college. I believe a fixed mindset has prevented me from changing this trait because I sometimes shy away from change, therefore leading me to feel as though I have time, which prevents me from achieving those things I dream of. From a growth mindset point of view, I would change this by embracing challenges and believing that my life can be continuously…

    The journey to medical school has by no means been an effortless one. Choosing the non-traditional route to complete my studies has not only equipped me with the maturity necessary to excel in medical school, but also the knowledge required to overcome the challenges I may encounter during my journey. Upon completing my undergraduate studies at FSU, I subsequently went on to complete additional post baccalaureate science courses at both Miami Dade College and Florida International University. Also, I have recently completed my Masters degree in Biomedical Science at Barry University. During my undergraduate and graduate years, I maintained full time employment, which has taught me the art of time management; a trait I believe will be essential to my success while in…

I have four quizzes and two excel worksheets to work complete. I have three hours and a half to finish these before midnight. I just wasted all the time I had to finish my homework and now I have to finish it after work which I get out at 9:30 pm. There was no way I would finish on time with good scores.…

    Responsibility, on the personal level will alleviate some of the difficulties I cause with irresponsibleness, which deters my continuing education. Planning ahead is a vital part responsibility. It is the basis for maintaining ones day-to-day activities. Having a schedule and knowing when task are to be complete can relieve the stress of feeling hastened and out of time. “He who fails to plan, plans to fail” is something my father would tell me quite often when I was younger. I have found this out firsthand. Prioritizing ones goals can keep a person from losing track of time and losing focus. I am putting into place a goals calendar. On the Goals Calendar I have inserted the goals I plan to accomplish and by when I plan to accomplish them. Here is an example: Gen/200 by September 17th or Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice by September 15th 2015.
