Professional Wedding Make-up, Pros and Cons
Your wedding day is fast approaching, and you want to look your best. You’re trying to decide whether or not to have your make-up professionally done. You could do it yourself, but what if it comes out looking flat in your pictures? However, what if you have the make-up done, and you don’t look like you? Here are some pros and cons to help you with your decision.

Pros if your make-up is done professionally

You would have one less thing on your mind to worry about. You can then take those moments to catch your breath and relax while someone else, a professional no less, brings out the beauty of your face. You won’t have the concerns of “By the time I arrive at my Melbourne wedding reception, my make-up will have faded away.” Another plus is that the make-up artist will come to where you are; you don’t have to go to them. Keep in mind professional makeup artists knows what they are doing. They will know what looks best on you. They will be able to match your make-up to what style your wedding is without having you end up looking like a painted doll. They will use a foundation that matches your skin tone, and they know all the beauty tricks, from hiding the dark circles under your eyes and any (banish the thought!) stress blemishes which may pop up. Plus they know how to apply false eyelashes so they stay on and don’t come loose in the middle of a photo, leaving you looking like you have a spiders hanging off your eyes.

The Cons

Make-up artists are expensive. If your budget is already groaning, this is an extra cost. If you’re not familiar with the work of the make-up artist, you may not like the final result too. You will still have to pay regardless of whether you wash it all off or not.

If you do your make-up yourself

Yes, you could do your make-up yourself. You may want to take into consideration though that most likely your hands are going to be shaking. This may make putting on eyeliner straight a problem. Your make-up will take up more time on

Use soft natural colors on eyes, cheeks, and lips. Browns, pinks and neutral are all appropriate choices. We do require that you wear mascara and lipstick or gloss. Remember, you never know when there will be a camera in your face. Do not clump your eyelashes with mascara. One to two coats of most mascara is more than enough. Wear lipstick or gloss, making sure to refresh the application throughout the day as needed. Wear a light blush for day and deepen the color for evening. Be sure to blend all makeup. When applied, makeup shouldn't appear as if you are wearing a mask. Orange faces and necks that appear to be a different color are not…
