Progressive Learning - 1 - The reality in which people are living in the 21st century requires a lot more than they could have thought of 30 years ago. Whereas the life in the late 80’s from the 20th century are more or less concerned with political changes, the current life is tightly connected with technology. Technology and information systems are constantly participating in people’s everyday life and humans are highly dependant on the changes within these two fields. This is the reason why people have met the need to develop and improve their IT skills on a daily basis due to the unceasing changes in hardware and software systems. The business as well has become quite different in last two decades due to the information boom. Communication has become much faster and easier from each part of the world, trade is more than ever faster and easier and this is the reason why businesses want to achieve even further improvements in effectiveness and efficiency. Using appropriately information systems companies can reach high levels of success, but only if implemented properly by the employee. In the manufacturing branch (no matter what product is manufactured) excel is extremely important and useful, allowing for precise planning, production and export. However, if the employee cannot work with the latest version of Windows for example, where excel looks differently and has much more options, then the processes will slow down, until the employer realizes the need for organizing trainings on a monthly basis, for instance, with regards to the latest innovations in the IT. Besides, the company should realize the need for investment in this direction, as this is decisive for the business. No matter it will cost money the company needs to take this step, namely investing in employee’s trainings with regard to
