1. 1 Introduction
Present many organizations maintain systems to handle personal details of the members. As the only defense university in Sri Lanka, it is required to hold a computerized system for the purpose of including the details of the students. The Faculty of Defense and Strategic Studies at KDU is the faculty that keeps the records on cadets and fee-levying students. The faculty already has categorized the personal details into some sub portions. Students are enlisted in Intake wise.
Every Intake is divided into six troops. Therefore, the details of the cadets are recruited according to their troop and also squadron wise. From Intake students are separated by using the streams such as Engineering, Medicine, Low, ICT, Computer Science, Social Science, Allied Health Sciences, Management and Technical Science and Logistics. The student information such as personal details, family details, school details and sports details are included. Physical test details and the medical details are only applicable for the officer cadets. These test details are also kept by the faculty.
