The role of human resource managers includes the management of employees within an organization. The management approach adopted by the management determine the level of effectiveness of the entire process. The problem is that some of the approaches are inherently flawed in relation to effectiveness, partly because of time wastage. Gladwell Grocery Stores exudes time wastage by the human resource because of the regular journeys that have to be made per week as part of the control and monitoring practice. The first process involves an explicit description of the project. According to the Gladwell Grocery Stores case study, the human resource director keeps making trips to all the twelve stores distributed in different parts of upstate New York. These weekly trips are quite ineffective in relation to productivity. Moreover, the ever-increasing fuel price implies that the cost inherent to these trips is a loss to the company. The human resource director needs a better solution that involves the elimination of unnecessary trips. Actually, a well-formulated human resource information system provides a real-time control over the entire personnel in the organization (Troshani, Jerram, & Hill, 2011). Thus, the proposed HRIS provides a solution to the current predicaments, notwithstanding the ability to streamline the HR management process (Noor & Razali, 2011). However, the initialization process also requires astute documentation of the objectives inherent to the new project. The objectives, as deduced from the case study, includes the elimination of weekly trips to all 12 stores distributed across New York.
