Pros And Cons Of Banning Cell Phones While Driving
Automobiles have revolutionized lives. They help us cover the same distances in minutes and hours, which use to take days or months in previous centuries. Inventions of cars and other automobiles have been a big turn over in history, but like they say everything in the world comes with a prize and technology now a days is costing people to pay with their lives. Every year hundreds of people are in a deadly accidents due to reckless driving of themselves or by the people around them. Using cellphones while driving has been a leading cause of accidents on road. Cellphone usage while driving should be banned in all fifty states as it has been one of the leading causes involved in major deadly accidents. Every other day it can be seen how texting and driving can make a person careless which causes accidents. Such as, every now and then the news shows how a mother lost control of her vehicle while she was busy texting and ended up injuring herself and her kids. It can also be observed waiting at the signal that there will always be at least one driver busy in texting, and every once in a while that driver would check the lights, and as the lights go green that person will slam the accelerator without looking up until the text message has been written. It is a way of communication like no other, however, we cannot disregard the cons it comes with. Cell phone usage while driving is extremely dangerous. No one wants to lose their loved ones to such recklessness. This thing should not be taken leniently and laws should be implanted to ban use of cellphones while driving so that society can have a safer environment for themselves and their future generations. People should find ways by which cars could have an in built system which allows the driver to only use phones when the car is stationary. Such technologies will not only help to keep driving safe but it would also help to reduce our cellphone
