Pros And Cons Of Censorship In Public Schools
Whenever someone goes to a high school football game, it is hard to ignore all of the posters and sponsors from certain corporations hung all around the stadium. In today’s generation, an abundance of schools focuses on advertisements and corporate deals for their extracurricular activities. There are banners, logos, posters, etc. posted all over the walls of corporate sponsored schools. Some schools have even gone as far as allowing certain corporations to sponsor cafeterias, clothing, and food and drinks. There are many pros, and cons when a school is being sponsored by a corporation. However, the pros definitely outweigh the cons in this situation. Schools should definitely allow corporate sponsorships since it positively impacts the school and its’ students as a whole.
Some of the positives of having sponsorships is that it can teach students about the economy. Due to the fact that these schools are advertising a product, students are more likely to go and buy such product. This method is teaching students how to be a consumer of a product, which could help them later on in life. The economy could boost significantly by schools advertising products to their students. This could cause extra money to be generated for the school due to the economy improving.

A negative impact from sponsorships is that students could get distracted easily by the use of logos, fancy banners, and more being strung around their school. Students should be focusing on their academics and extracurricular activities, not worrying about the certain products they use due to sponsorships. The corporate sponsorships from the schools could influence the students to make appalling choices, if the school sponsors unhealthy foods and drinks. Sometimes, these sponsorships can go too far, making these schools filled with certain products and

    Over the last several years, it has become undeniable that any kind of sport can, and will, be sensationalized and commercialized by the people from the great companies like "Coca-Cola, Pepsi Cola, and Marlboro" (1667).
