Pros And Cons Of Criminal Justice
In the field of criminal justice there are many pros, but along with these pros there are many cons. When looking at the pros of the criminal justice field there are some that stand out pretty heavily. Some of these pros include, job security, and being able to help people. But with each one of these pros there is a direct opposite. The cons include, stress, and the dangerous situations you will be put in. You have to ask yourself, do the pros outweigh the cons? Job security is something that everyone wants. When you get a job or enter a career it is nice to know that you will always be needed. There will always be bad people in the world and so we will always be in need of people to deal with them. There will always be a need for officers because the world is not perfect and there will always be crime. Job security is great but you may find yourself wanting to quit due to stress, rather than being …show more content…
Working in the criminal justice field you will have to deal with stress. If you can manage the stress you will be put under then you will be fine, but if you cannot, then you may become a danger not only to the public but also your coworkers. The stress just does not stop at home though, you may find yourself being stressed at home which can lead to bad family relationships and also divorce. You will be able to help people in the criminal justice field though. You pulling some random guy over for speeding could make him drive the speed limit the next day. The next day when he is going the speed limit, he does not cause a deadly accident that would have happened had he been speeding. A talk you have with teenagers in a classroom could keep one of them from doing drugs and they end up becoming the President of the United States in thirty years. Even if you do not know it you could possible change the lives of everybody you come in contact with because of you working in the criminal justice
