Who are you voting for? A presidential election is no small matter. It is the choosing of a leader, one who will be instilled with power that could improve or destroy a country. Dr. Ben Carson, a republican candidate, is respected and supported by many Americans. He became famous shortly after being the first man to successfully separate Siamese twins. Unfortunately, few people realize that if it were not for Carson’s boss, Dr. Donlin Long, he would likely never have achieved his current fame, and almost definitely would not be running for president. During the most crucial moment of the surgery, the cutting of the vein that connected the twins, Carson offered his scalpel to Long. He refused it. Ben Carson, unlike some of the other candidates, is very committed to staying true to God and his faith. As a Christian, Carson is pro-life and cares about the needs of the average American. He is also very frank about his achievements and mistakes, stating that he does not consider himself a politician, because he does not believe in dishonesty.
Donald Trump gets his way with swearing, mudslinging, and lies. Dr. Carson gets his with negotiations and compromise. Who do you want handling our foreign affairs? Ben Carson is a very respectful man, willing to hear others’ opinions, then politely give his own. He is an excellent diplomat, one that this country would benefit from having as a leader.
Dr. Carson is also an extremely intelligent man. He graduated from Yale, then went on to become a highly successful neurosurgeon and the first person to separate conjoined twins. Carson has won numerous awards, including the Presidential Medal of Freedom, which is the highest award a civilian can receive.
