James Bakersfield Research Paper

It was a cold, winter’s night in Washington. Everywhere there were people going about their day-to-day life. It was a particularly busy night, however, because it was the night of an election. In the coming hours, Americans will be casting their vote for president of the United States. The election was between Democrat, James Bakersfield, and Republican, Clare Thomlin. James was a tall, handsome man in his thirties, and was projected to win in a landslide. The former governor of New York, he was an experienced lawmaker, who in almost the entire two-year campaign, he had kept his cool. His opponent Clare was an egotistical, short, ugly woman in her sixties, and she was projected to lose big time. Clare was the CEO of a weapons manufacturing company, who has had more than a dozen scandals in her campaign.
She has said many, vulgar things about many different races, religions, and ethnicities.
However, both candidates have huge support. James Bakersfield is very popular among the youth and collage-educated people, while Clare Thomlin is popular with uneducated, blue-collar workers. Even though Bakersfield is projected to win, there is still a chance that Thomlin might win. Even though Bakersfield has had a clean and successful campaign, there was one scandal that just would not go away, that is, of course, BlackberryGate. For those not aware, BlackberryGate, was the scandal in which James Bakersfield used his non-government issued Blackberry to make a phone call to a foreign head of state. When a government oversight committee asked for information about the call, James refused to give any information at first. Even though the FBI had cleared James of any wrongdoing, his opponent Clare Thomlin repeatedly called for a special counsel to
investigate.

This scandal was James’s only worry, however. He knew that even though the campaign had been long and hard on him, he knew that it was much harder on Tomlin. Throughout the campaign, Clare Tomlin has had scandal after scandal. When she first announced her campaign run, she boldly declared that all Muslims, deserve to die, and in that very speech, she also proclaimed that all Mexicans are rapists and criminals.

However, this incident was not a one-off. Throughout her campaign, Clare had scandal after scandal. In November 2015, she claimed that President Barack Obama was adding fluoride to the water, to control the minds of the public. In previous elections, these kinds of comments only came from, small, crazy candidates. This is why James was feeling very confident.

Clare, however, was also confident about the election. She thought that she had run an excellent campaign. On the campaign trail, she proudly proclaimed that she had run the best campaign in U.S election history. Clare regularly stated that she was the voice of the working class in America, even though she flew to all her rallies in a gold plated private jet. As the election went on and more and more states went over to the Democrats, it became clear to Clare Thomlin that she would not win. However, on the campaign trail, Clare repeatedly claimed that the election was rigged. She said that if she lost the election, she would challenge the election in court.
