The drilling technologies make it possible for easy accessibility of the reserves that were previously inaccessible. The Marcellus Shale has a lot of natural gas and this has brought development to the developments in the three states. The developments include both economic and infrastructural benefits. The revenue from the sale of the natural gas goes to the federal government (Chiras, 283). This money helps in the development of infrastructures in the states.
